Summer Music Camp

 

Announcing the 2011 Summer Music Camp
sponsored by the Evergreen Chorale!

We’re pleased to announce that it’s that time again to register your child for the Evergreen Chorale’s 2011 Summer Music Camp! We are offering early registration to all of our past campers, ensuring your child a spot in one of our two weeks of camp. Early registration will be from February 15-28, 2011. Registration for the masses will begin on March 1, 2011 so get your forms returned by then, or give me a call to put your child’s name on the list. Enrolling your child in both weeks of camp IS an option! Just sign up for both weeks.

We are excited to announce Broadway Our Way, an additional 1 week camp the week of August 15-19. Your child will be the star of the show, having an opportunity to perform a solo or small ensemble number as well as participate in 3 whole group numbers. Sign your child up for both Summer Music Camp AND Broadway Our Way by April 30 and receive a 10% discount on your total tuition bill. We do have a scholarship program available and more information can be found in the registration packet. We have arranged the classes by grades this year. Students should enroll by the grade they will be in the fall. We are also going to combine the 6 th-8 th graders and the 9 th-12 th graders for the second week of camp this year.

Registration:

February 15-28: Early registration for 2011 students
March 1: Open Registration begins.

Week 1 – June 6-10, 2011
Showcase on Saturday June 11 at 3:00

Week 2 – June 13-17, 2011
Showcases:
   K-2nd and 3 rd-6th grade on Saturday June 18 at 3:00
   6th-9th and 9th-12th grade on Saturday June 18 at 4:00

Tuition Costs and availability:

        K-2nd Grade, Half Day Camp (M-F 9:00-12:00) – 15 per week, $145 per student

        3rd - 6th Grade, Full Day Camp (M-F 9:00-3:30) – 20 per week, $240 per student

        6th - 8th Grade, Two Week Camp (M-F 9:00-4:00) – FULL

        9th - 12th Grade Two Week Camp (M-F 9:00-4:00) – 15 students, $385 per student

This year we are combining the junior high and high school students for the second week of camp to perform music from ‘Wicked”. The showcase for this will be at 4pm on June 18, 2011. Everyone is invited to attend. “Wicked” will cover all the wonderful aspects of modern music theater including movement, scene-work and stagecraft. As part of their tuition, these students will also receive the “Wicked” Songbook for them to keep.

Please fill out the application form, information form, and indemnity form for all students who would like to attend this year’s camp. Payment can be made via PayPal or you can mail a check/money order directly to the Chorale, attention “Summer Music Camp.”  All forms are Adobe Acrobat files so you will need Acrobat Reader to open and print these files. We are excited to get started on another fabulous year of Summer Music Camp. We will be continuing the live music after lunch everyday. Seeing a variety of music performed is such a benefit to Summer Music Camp and we feel so lucky to have musicians in the community that donate their time and expertise to our kids. If you have any contact information for a wonderful musician who would like to perform for us, please let me know.

Please fill out the attached forms and get them back to me as soon as possible with your payment. We are going to sell out quickly once open registration begins on March 1, 2011.
