The Evergreen Chorale is a multi-generational community chorus and musical theater organization, open to teens, college students, adults and seniors who enjoy singing of choral masterworks and other repertoire, or participation in musical theater productions.

High school internships are available for talented high school aged singers interested in either classical vocal performance, choral music or musical theater performance. Performance opportunities for children are available in some concerts and musicals. We also offer annual music summer camps for children and teens. Concert solo and/or theater leads (non-equity) are available for trained/talented performers.  Professional  production staff and orchestra opportunities are available on a regular basis.

The Chorale owns Center Stage in Evergreen where musical theater productions and some concerts are performed.  We also perform concerts in various locations throughout the Denver Metro area and perform on a regular basis with Jefferson Symphony Orchestra.

To join the Evergreen Chorale, you must meet the following requirements: 

• Short audition in front of the selection committee:  General auditions are conducted twice a year. Bring two copies of a prepared song or excerpt (classical or musical theater or choral, no pop music, please).  Acceptance is determined by audition quality and by availability of openings within the Chorale voice sections.
• Sing in one to three Chorale concerts and participate in 80% of the rehearsals. Your participation in the theatrical productions is not required, but very rewarding.  For musical theater auditions please see special announcements and requirements on this website.
• Share in several support activities (i.e. clean up, set design, fundraising, set construction, marketing, music selection, social arrangements, concert attire, and other committees).
• Pay $125.00 in annual dues ($ 70 for one semester only).  High school interns do not pay dues.
• Provide required concert attire which includes black tuxedos for men and a special order concert dress for women.
• Some scholarships (reduction/waving of dues) for adult singers are available based on special need.
• Childcare is available for all Chorale rehearsals, cost is covered 50% by the Chorale.
• High school internships include not only participation in concerts and/or musicals, but also special workshops, a scholarship competition for juniors and seniors and an intern recital at the end of the season.  The Evergreen Chorale especially supports teens who seek a career in vocal performance, musical theater or choral conducting.
• The Evergreen Chorale welcomes all qualified participants regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religious affiliation or sexual orientation.
