The Sound of Music

Auditions will be held at Center Stage, 27608 Fireweed Drive, Evergreen, CO 8043
Prepare:
16-32 bars from any Rodgers & Hammerstein musical (SoM selections are OK).
Those auditioning for Maria should prepare bars 18-end of The Sound of Music and bars 123-end of The Lonely Goatherd.
Those auditioning for Mother Abbess should prepare Climb Every Mountain.
We will cast a large chorus for this musical. All chorus members, including Evergreen Chorale members, must make an appointment to audition.
For chorus auditions, prepare any 16 bar excerpt (choral, classical, musical theater - no pop music). There are numerous small speaking and singing parts for chorus/ensemble members.
Bring:
A headshot, resume and two copies of audition application, including conflicts from mid-July through performances. Also, if you are singing music other than SoM, please bring a copy for the accompanist.
Rehearsals:
Rehearsals will take place at Center Stage Evergreen starting mid-July. Weeknight/weekend rehearsals will be scheduled depending on cast availability.
Performances:
The Sound of Music will open Friday, September 14, 2012 at 7:30 pm. The show will run 4 weekends with Friday/Saturday evening performances and Sunday matinees through October 7th.
