Welcome to the Evergreen Chorale! We are dedicated to providing excellence in choral and musical theater performances for the communities west of Denver, as well as performance training for singers and actors of all ages. We also own and manage Center Stage, Evergreen's only theater space, which serves as performance venue for numerous non-profit organizations, such as the Evergreen Players and the Evergreen Children's Chorale. In addition, Center Stage houses the Rotary gallery and serves as central meeting space for small and large organizations.
In January, 1972, the Canyon Courier ran a story inviting people who enjoyed singing to get together for an informal singing session. The small group that assembled around the large piano at Ruth and Roy Seeber's home became the founding members of the Evergreen Chorale. Since then the Chorale has expanded to one of Colorado's largest and most active community choirs. The Evergreen Chorale is now a registered non-profit [501(c) (3)] organization with over 90 voices composed of amateur singers from Evergreen and surrounding communities. We have been continually committed to providing high caliber musical entertainment and are proud to celebrate our 40th anniversary during our 2012/2013 season.

The Evergreen Chorale presents several choral concerts each year, some at Center Stage, and some in large concert venues throughout the Denver area. We regularly collaborate with one of Colorado's finest community orchestras, Jefferson Symphony orchestra, and with many other organizations, such as Colcannon or the Queen City Jazz Band. The Chorale performs the masterworks of choral literature as well as many other styles of music, ranging from show tunes to jazz. We also present two large-scale musical theater productions each year, as well as numerous free events for our community. For the 2012/2013 season the Chorale will present Handel's Messiah, Orff's Carmina Burana, a concert of Latin American music with the Denver based dance troup Fiesta Colorado, and the musicals The Sound of Music and 1776. Talented singers are invited to audition to be part of the Chorale or for casting in musicals. For more information, please click the audition tab.
The Chorale is dedicated to providing educational opportunities for singers of all ages. We offer highschool internships free of charge to talented young singers, which include participation in choral and musical theater productions, special workshops, a scholarship competition and intern recital. This season we are awarding the Eleonore Graeber and the Mike Weiker scholarship. We also offer free attendance of dress rehearsals to Title One schools in the larger Denver area and specially priced school performances for some musical theater productions.
The Evergreen Chorale offers an extensive summer music camp to kids in preschool, elementary school, middle and highschool. You can register for one of our camps now: for more information about the different programs for the summer of 2012 please see Events and Ticketing/Summer Music Camp 2012 above. Scholarships are available.
Our organization is all about the music and we strive to create it in an atmosphere of creativity, dedication to quality and mutual respect. We welcome all talented singers and actors to be part of the Chorale and we invite you to become part of our audience.
